A RESEARCH ON CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS OF DOUBLE SKIN FACADES
Applications of double skin facade systems, developed to reduce energy consumption in buildings, and scientific researches on this subject has been increasing recently. In the context, aim of this study is to make energy efficient facade design more understandable as functional, conceptual, and technical by indicating importance for current architecture and to reveal responsibility for architects. In this study, facade construction details of 16 sample buildings, having double skin façade systems, are analyzed and presented in tables. it has been reached the result of the research by evaluating the working principles, advantages and disadvantages of facade systems.
